This is an open discussion forum for users to discuss WebRing features, wishes, thoughts, etc. QUESTIONS about and PROBLEMS with the System should be posted in detail using the support forums in Help. Negative, derogatory or personal comments will be deleted. Sadly, due to spamming and anonymous trashing of other users we have had to restrict posting to signed in members.

Can you guess which page your on? The latest foulup - 01/31/2007
File this report under "this can't be happening, but it happened anyway". Message sent to support:

"The ssnb I cut and pasted the code for does not seem to be the ssnb I'm getting. The code I pasted, the code I find in the file manager AND the code anybody will find when he unrenders my page to find the underlying code will be that appropriate for this u number:

which corresponds to this url:

In other words, I've entered precisely the code that SHOULD be there, which is probably why my site had been passing as long as it has been. Inexplicably, however, the navbar appearing on that page is one corresponing to this u number

which is associated with this url

the WRONG url. In other words, your sysem, given one u number, has generated the navbar stack for another u number. This, through no fault of mine, has caused the site to fail code checks.

Please fix this. The system should not be creatively swapping u numbers; what one posts should be what one gets."

Serious question - Guys, are you TRYING to drive users off of the system? First, we have users with valid HTML code getting thrown out of memberships because of ring mergers changing their ring IDs. Surprise! "Goodbye, AllArts ring! Hello, Anet/ Artists on the Web! No, that's boring. Goodbye Anet, hello Artists!"

HTML code is not safe to use because of this, and SSNB isn't safe either, because who knows what your system will creatively do with it? So what kind of code should the user use, because we seem to have exhausted the possibilities.
