activity score - 02/07/2008
The scores drop so quickly they don't mean much. They were a good idea to let members feel more of the group, but they aren't allowed to stay around long enough to encourage regular activity. I voted in the contest, (even noticed my name mentioned as a member judge) and the score naturally went up, but the next day, it had dropped so much, it was as if I'd done nothing. If I'd missed signing in, I wouldn't have known I'd earned anything.

I sign in every day, browse around and visit members in my rings. I vote on a few sites just as I've always done. My stats are always at 0 because no one cares enough to even pretend to visit a member's ring site. It may be because most of my rings are owned by the system. I wonder if real RM still visit their members occasionally?

Oh well, activity scores were a good thought.

Wish the posts could be edited. When I said stats, I didn't mean 'score'. Two different sets of numbers and I wanted to clarify that I do know the difference before something was said about it.

Good input. The activity score is still in it's infancy. We'll start trying to work it into more things (or vice versa) and highlight things ore as we gain a better understanding ourselves of trends and such. For now don't worry what the # is, but it is good to notice what affects it.
