I was glad to see we had a choice on this feature and immediately buzzed over to change mine to non-default as instructed. It wasn't where I expected it to be, on the code page. I searched each page and couldn't find a reference at all. Would you please place a link in a prominent area so it can be found? And maybe say something about the availability of a choice?
I posted here because I know there are others interested and would rather find an answer given as information than have to write individually to 'help'. It saves everyone a lot of time and frustration.
How more prominent a link in ring management than under customization the link "navigation code" would one like to see?
It is not that critical an issue, in our minds, to warrant more. It's a variation on the default. the goal of which is
KEEP PEOPLE WITHIN A COMMUNITY, RESULTING IN MORE TRAFFIC TO SITES
Remember that traffic is THE most significant reason a person joins a ring. Remember also that a person leaves a site WHEN THEY ARE DONE LOOKING AT IT. Where would YOU like them to go? some random site without a link back to yours? Or, some other site in the community - YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTING - which will eventually lead them back to your site. And evem gasp, show them a service they might look at and say "wow this groups together sites of similar topic. I'll remember this for next time"
So if it does work, if it helps to get people coming back, then is that NECESSARILY a thing to cry "the sky is falling" about?
